Easy peasy, limey squeezey…

Ingredients: 2 part tequila, 1 part triple sec and 1 part lime juice

Optional: Salt, lime wedge, lime wheel

Shake all of the ingredients together in a shaker with ice cubes. Make sure you shake it like you mean it and use your muscles so that all the ingredients combine to create a white liquid. Strain it into a short glass (with an optional lime and salt rim) and add your lime wheel so that it sits on the side of the glass. Ta Da!!

If you’re feeling adventurous you could always add some extras- add squished cucumber and mint to your shaker for a refreshing twist, or add a shot of any fruit liqueur (or squeezed/squished fruits) to add your fave flavour.

Tequila Sunrise

A classic in the eyes of many.

Ingredients: 2 parts tequila, orange juice, 1 part grenadine

Optional: Orange wheel/ slice, glacé cherry

Add the tequila to a highball glass with ice. Top it up with fresh orange juice, and then pour the grenadine at the side of the glass so that it sinks to the bottom of the drink. Garnish with a slice of orange on the rim and a glacé cherry.

To make a tequila sunrise instead, simply remove the grenadine and add blackberry brandy to the top and stir very gently. Garnish with cherry.

Shaken, or stirred.

Ingredients: 6 parts gin, 1 part vermouth.

Optional: Lemon peel, olive.

Pour the gin and vermouth into a mixing glass with ice and stir well. Strain into a chilled martini glass, squeeze oil from lemon peel on the top and garnish with an olive.

One to really get the party started.

Ingredients: 2 parts vodka, 1 part peach schnapps, 4 parts cranberry juice

Optional: lime wedge

Build the alcoholic ingredients in a highball glass over ice and give it a quick stir. Add a lime wedge or lime wheel as a garnish and serve up! This one is quick, easy and tastes fantastic.

If you’re not a cranberry fan, simply swap it for another juice of your taste; raspberry, strawberry and pineapple always taste great!

Minty fresh.

Ingredients: 1.5oz white rum, 1oz lime juice, 6 mint leaves, 2 teaspoons of sugar (we know that’s four ingredients but come on, it’s still simple to make!)

Mush up the mint and sugar with the lime juice in a sturdy highball glass with a spoon. Add some ice, and then pour over the rum before topping up with soda water. Garnish with a sprig of mint, and there you have it. A perfect mojito.

Whiskey Ginger

No redheads where harmed in the making of this cocktail.

Ingredients: 2 shots of whiskey, ginger beer, lemon twist/lemon wheel

Pour two shots of whiskey into a short glass with ice and top up with ginger beer. Yes it’s that simple. Garnish with your lemon twist or lemon wheel and serve.

Bourbon Ice Tea

The perfect cocktail for Summer garden parties.

Ingredients: two shots of bourbon, ice tea (flavour of your choice), lemon wedge.

Pour two shots of bourbon over ice (optional) in a short glass, and top up with ice tea (I recommend peach, but lemon works well too!). Garnish with a wedge or wheel of lemon and serve up!

Greyhound/ Salty Dog

Fun, zesty and easy to make!

Ingredients: two shots vodka, grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed or store bought), grapefruit wedge.

Pour vodka over ice in a short glass (or long for a weaker alcohol: juice ratio) and top up with grapefruit juice. Finish with a grapefruit wedge garnish and serve.

Campari & IPA Spritzer

Fizzy and hoppy, for the IPA lovers.

Ingredients: 2 shots Campari, half bottle IP, lemon wedge/wheel.

Add the Campari to your glass and top up with about half a bottle of your favourite IPA. Serve with a lemon wheel garnish. Quick and easy!
